The originals were painted with ink on Japanese Rice Paper during my artist residency at the BAER Art Center in Hofsos, Iceland. These close up images of the painting sculptures mirrored create an entirely new Love Letter. As time changes love transforms.

Siren the mermaid was painted on linen in Italy. The repetitive motif of the design, mirrored and reduced in size, becomes a mantra. Printed on a large surface she transforms and remembers me to the many tapestries I saw in the Tibetan temples and monasteries located in and around Dharamsala India.

The fire goddess was painted on linen in Italy. The repetitive motif of the design, mirrored and reduced in size has a surreal effect. Flowers blossom where volcanic ash plumes were once. These women together and multiplied reflect liberty in the style of Art Nouveau.
